Hello from the South Coast! What a busy winter already & we ain’t stopping! We’re excited about all the new songs our new journeys have inspired!

Looking forward to New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS, & Josephine, AL, Tallahassee & Jacksonville, FL this month. We are also heading to NC for a few days & get some mountain time before we hit one of our FAVORITE festivals -Suwannee Springfest in Live Oak, FL. (CHECK OUT THIS LINEUP!)

It’s been a YEAR! I cannot sum up in a few simple words all of our many magical miles. Living and touring FULL time out of our sweet Blue Bell! Working for ourselves! Our dreams have gotten bigger, our thirst stronger & love for music deeper. We have never toured at this pace before or worked this hard to make our performances the best they can be. This was the RIGHT path…without a DOUBT. We are at the mercy of new places & people every day, but somehow the music leads us to GOOD people…We THANK YOU to every person who’ve kept us UP & kept UP with us….and ya’ll-2013 is going to be FANTASTIC! CHECK IT OUT!

We will KICK it off heading SOUTH- Click on the city for the show info! Charleston, Awendaw Green, Savannah, Gainesville (a double header!), Largo, Clearwater, St Pete, Tampa, Ft Myers, Daytona Beach, Greenville & excited to say we’ll be returning back to ASHEVILLE at the end of the month! (I DON’T HAVE TO WAIT TILL SPRING TO COME BACK TO THE MOUNTAINS!)

While there were TONS of memories, stages, songs, & explorations, we won’t bore ya. Here are few lil memories from our recent travels. Hope to see you out there!

WOW!  We had a BLAST this October. We hit Charleston, SC, SEVERAL stops in Florida & then creeped up the Gulf Coast into AL, MS & LA! Fun fun. We even made a little time to go sailing & fishing. (pics below)

We are back in North Carolina for most of November. Our mountain weekend has us returning to The Purple Onion  Thursday, French Broad Brewery Friday & making our debut at Brevard’s newest music haven 185 King Street this Saturday. Then we hit Wilimington (2 shows), New Bern, & Greensboro before returning to Asheville (2 shows) & Black Mountain.

We hope to see you around NC & beyond this November!

I want to thank you all for your support throughout this wild year. it’s been 140+ shows, 11 states, 30K miles, a busted window, many busted strings & a new windshield since we took this jump living in Blue Bell. We have stayed in walmart parking lots, campgrounds, state parks, beautiful homes of even MORE beautiful people. We have made some beautiful friends & fans. It’s all just been SUCH a ride. Looking forward to 10 MORE months of adventures!

Oh how I LOVE October. It’s gonna be a busy one too with 17 shows on the books! I am VERY happy to announce that we have been busy with new merch. Drumroll!!! We have a NEW LIVE CD that I personally printed from my very own hand-carved linocut. Nikki Talley Live from the Altamont Theatre is available online in hand numbered phyiscal copies thru Paypal or digitally at CD Baby. It includes 7 tracks (several unreleased!) from my live show at the Altamont Theatre on the eve of my birthday August 10, 2012. We also have t-shirts that are currently only available at our live shows but don’t worry, I’m working on an online option soon!

We are headin south to Florida & Alabama for some of our favorite shows as well 4 dates in a NEW state for us: Mississippi! Hope to see you on the road!

Good times past, good times AHEAD!

This weekend I will be returning to Ruffin, NC (where I grew up!) to play the Harvest Ridge Music Festival. Our set is from 6:30-7:30!

We are also playing several shows around Western North Carolina including Fletcher, Hendersonville, Sapphire, Brevard (twice!) Black Mountain, Little Switzerland & Asheville before heading further south for the ENTIRE month of October.

And a quick lil August recap: Birthday busy! Jason & I both celebrated another trip around the globe w/ MUSIC of course sometimes more than one gig a day! Whew! We enjoyed playing for our hometown fans & of course returning to VA, beautiful WV (who even got a song written for her beauty), KY & OH. A standing ovation in Dayton was the perfect way to begin September!

Yes people, after 6 months, 23,000 miles, & 120 shows in 10 states I am happy & still so grateful for everyday. There are LOTS of “best things about touring” in my opinion. Lately I’m excited by the different people we meet, and all the different TYPES of people our music reaches. It really is a common language and I am becoming more and more aware of that every show.

We had some incredible shows over the past few months and I’ve include a few “photo highlights”.

It was in July that we probably had one of the best nights we’ve had since this journey began…I think my recap sums it up:

“There are some rooms that make you play better, some crowds that make you sing louder & smile a lot, some staff (sound guy/manager etc) that make you feel appreciated & rock starry… there are some people you share the stage with that still make you a groupie. All that, tonight at The Broad Street Social Club in New Bern.”

it’s been 106 days since we’ve began!!! we’ve played 62 shows & we’re still living it! loving it! our week last week in tennessee was fun! we got to reconnect w/ my pal Ashleigh Caudill (who joined us for our show in Nashville) as well as hit some new parts of that pretty state we haven’t seen yet! (Chattanooooooga!) we now are heading to Georgia & Florida then back up to the coasts of South & North Carolina. Gonna hit some old haunts in our old stomping grounds in WILMINGTON!  Looking forward to the cleansing sun, sand & surf!
